Life was very difficult for teenagers during the 1930's in Germany. Kids at this time were being told many new ideas about Hitler. Some kids in the Hitler Youth were hearing conflicting ideas from their teachers and their parents which they could be very confusing. The kids were even instructed to report their parents if they contradicted the ideas of Hitler and the Nazi Party. Another confusing part of life during this time was the influences of other kids. Even if you didn't believe in what the Hitler Youth was teaching many of the kids around you would make you feel obligated to. Another problem these kids were facing was not being able to follow the religion you wanted to without being prosecuted by the Nazis and shunned by their society and possibly even some of their friends. Some may even have been denied a job if they dared to express opinions against the Nazis.
